About the Opportunity
A dynamic community-based health center in Manhattan is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary team. This full-time role focuses on providing compassionate, comprehensive care to adult patients, including those living with HIV, in an outpatient setting. The center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, offering a wide range of bilingual health services.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver primary care services with a focus on HIV treatment and prevention in an ambulatory care environment
- Participate in the center’s on-call rotation, providing telephone coverage as scheduled
- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical program development
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
- Engage in staff education and development activities to promote best practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system
Job Requirements
- Active New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner
- Must hold an active NYS Medicaid/Medicare provider number
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus
- Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in adult medicine preferred
- Willingness to work toward HIV certification if not already certified
