About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Psychiatrist to join our client’s team in the Bronx at a community health center dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care to underserved populations.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Interact with psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to diagnose patients
- Provide medication management and perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Work with the director to ensure all patients receive high-quality treatment care
- Document all results in the EMR system accurately and promptly
- Coordinate patients’ therapy sessions and follow-ups
- Collaborate with social workers and other registered nurses to deliver holistic care
- Communicate with patients’ family members regarding care and treatment plans
Job Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Graduate of an accredited PMHNP program
- Active or in-process DEA registration
- Active or in-process New York medical license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
