About the Opportunity
Our client, a busy community-based health center in Brooklyn, is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their care team. The RN will play an essential role in supporting providers, ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care, and promoting positive patient experiences. This position involves both direct patient care and clinical support duties, as well as patient education and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support physicians and providers during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Gather and record patient health information, including medical history and vital signs, in a timely manner
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments; ensure all supplies are clean, sterilized, and organized
- Educate patients on health management, treatments, and preventive care practices
- Monitor and manage exam room inventory, including vaccines and other medical supplies, as directed by the Nurse Manager
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any barriers to safe or efficient care delivery
- Provide assistance with diagnostic procedures when needed
- Carry out additional duties as requested by leadership to support clinic operations
Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- Previous experience in healthcare settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—with the ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and physicians
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a welcoming and professional demeanor
- Background in obstetrics or women’s health a plus
