About the Opportunity:
Our client, an outpatient facility in Cortlandt Manor, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 27-week full-time contract assignment starting in May 2026. The Physical Therapist will evaluate, plan, direct, and administer therapeutic treatments designed to restore function and prevent disability following injury or illness. This role offers a structured outpatient environment with established clinical workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The estimated base pay for this position is $65 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including routine and specialized X-rays, MRI, or CT scans in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Conduct bone density examinations (DEXA scans) to assess bone health and support the diagnosis of conditions such as osteoporosis
- Prepare patients for imaging by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and addressing any concerns to promote a safe and positive experience
- Accurately position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records, including documentation of procedures, exposure factors, and any notable observations
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards, aseptic techniques, and infection control policies to protect patients, staff, and self
- Work closely with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure appropriate imaging techniques are selected based on clinical indications
- Perform routine checks, maintenance, and quality control tests on X-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations
Job Requirements:
- NYS ARRT (R) License & Registration
- AHA Basic Life Support Certification
- 1+ years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
