About the Opportunity:
We seek a Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. This part-time contract position involves handling various clinical duties for dental office operations, ensuring a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room, and maintaining patient confidence while operating under strict protocols. The role requires exceptional customer service and communication skills.
The estimated base pay for these positions is $20.35 to $24.05 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) finalize at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
- Serve as a communicator within the practice, providing information and support through responsive interactions.
- Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments, positioning them for easy access.
- Expose and develop radiographic studies, pour, trim, and polish study casts to provide diagnostic information.
- Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience.
- CPR certification.
- Registered Dental Assistant (includes X-Ray).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
