About the Opportunity:
This part-time contract opportunity involves collaborating with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of patients. The dental hygienist provides a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. The role handles a variety of clinical duties essential for dental office operations, ranging in complexity and skill, requiring exceptional customer service skills and a strong commitment to working with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other team members.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $63.25 to $74.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment as required.
- Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and education in accordance with state guidelines.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants, and remove calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Uphold office policies including HIPAA & OSHA.
- Order and maintain inventory as needed.
Job Requirements:
- One year of hands-on experience as a hygienist.
- Experience with GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
- Hold a current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
- CPR certification.
- X-ray training or certification.
