About the Opportunity:
This contract position for a Family Medicine Physician at the Ketchikan medical facility entails providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. The physician manages various health conditions, develops treatment plans, and performs non-required but desired procedures such as skin excisions, punch biopsies, and IUD insertions. The role involves an 8-hour shift schedule from Monday through Friday, with no call or rounding requirements.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $116.52 to $137.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and create care plans.
- Provide comprehensive family medicine care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in family medicine.
- Perform desired procedures such as skin excisions, punch biopsies, cryotherapy, and others.
Job Requirements:
- MD degree with specialty in Family Medicine.
- Minimum 3.5 to 5 years of experience in outpatient settings.
- Required certification in BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
- Demonstrate involvement as the admitting physician for at least 20 patients in the past two years.
