About the Opportunity:
This contract position involves working as a Registered Nurse in the GI Lab, providing specialized care for patients undergoing procedures such as EGD, EUS, colonoscopy, and ERCP. It requires recovering patients in the PACU and applying advanced nursing practices in a hospital setting. The role is full-time with a shift from 08:00 to 16:30, requiring a minimum of two years of GI RN hospital experience. Weekend on-call duties and weekday call shifts are essential components of this job. The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.40 to $57.20 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create care plans for GI Lab patients.
- Provide specialized nursing care during GI procedures including EGD, EUS, colonoscopy, and ERCP.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and respiratory services to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously.
- Stay informed on GI nursing best practices and procedural advancements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of GI RN hospital experience, with recovery/PACU proficiency.
- Certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Preferred experience in trauma level I and II settings and community hospitals.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
