Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their dynamic team on Long Island. The ideal candidate should be fluent in both English and Spanish, as they will be working with a diverse patient population. They welcome new graduates who are enthusiastic and ready to contribute to the well-being of their adult patients.

The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients, including routine check-ups, screenings, and vaccinations
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients
  • Educate patients on preventive care, health maintenance, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care
  • Stay current with medical advancements, attend continuing education programs, and participate in professional development activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive healthcare environment

 

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based healthcare setting
  • Open to new graduates with a willingness to learn and adapt
