About the Opportunity
Our client, a large detox facility in Brooklyn, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This Nurse Practitioner will specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals struggling with addiction and substance use disorders.
The annual base salary range is $135,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify substance use issues and any co-occurring mental health disorders
- Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and lifestyle changes
- Prescribe medications to help manage withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and co-occurring conditions
- Provide individual or group therapy and educational resources to help patients understand their conditions and develop coping strategies
- Work with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care
- Help patients navigate healthcare systems, access community resources, and support recovery efforts
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required
- FNP, AGNP, or PMHNP license in New York
- Substance abuse experience required
