About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mobile Crisis Program Director to lead our client’s Mobile Crisis Intervention Team in the Bronx, NY. This role is ideal for a mental health professional with a background in crisis intervention and program management, holding an active LCSW, PhD, or PsyD license. The Program Director will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality, timely crisis services for individuals in the community, and foster collaborative relationships with local agencies. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who is passionate about crisis intervention, highly organized, and capable of managing a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The annual base salary range is $85,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Mobile Crisis Intervention Team, including hiring, training, and supervising crisis clinicians and support staff
- Oversee program operations, ensuring that crisis response services are delivered promptly, ethically, and in line with organizational standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor crisis intervention protocols and policies to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness
- Coordinate with community partners, hospitals, law enforcement, and other service providers to optimize resources and deliver comprehensive support to clients in crisis
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing crisis response services, maintaining a focus on client confidentiality and ethical standards
- Monitor and evaluate program performance using data-driven metrics, generating reports and recommendations to support continuous improvement
- Oversee case management and follow-up services to ensure continuity of care and appropriate linkages to additional resources for clients
- Participate in crisis response as needed, providing direct clinical support to clients and families
- Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to support staff performance and growth
Job Requirements
- Active LCSW, PhD, or PsyD license required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mental health field, with at least 3 years in crisis intervention and/or supervisory roles
- Proven experience in program management, with strong skills in team leadership, budgeting, and community relations
- Exceptional clinical skills, with a thorough understanding of crisis assessment and intervention techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster effective relationships with diverse clients, staff, and external partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving in high-stakes situations
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management practices
