About the Opportunity
Our client, a dynamic, community-based outpatient clinic in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care services. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or Spanish, and passionate about delivering culturally competent care to our diverse patient population. The annual base salary range is $180,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult patients, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
- Develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based guidelines and patient goals
- Communicate effectively with patients and families in Chinese or Spanish, ensuring clear understanding of health conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
- Coordinate care with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants, and other staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as appropriate
- Document all patient encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Job Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in New York
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or Spanish is required
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in outpatient primary care preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)
