About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and highly respected Orthopedic organization on Long Island, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join their dynamic billing team. The ideal candidate is a billing professional with a strong background in orthopedic and spine-related billing, and hands-on experience with Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) processes. Your knowledge will directly contribute to accurate claims processing, optimal reimbursement, and continued excellence in patient care delivery.
The annual base salary range is $60,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Submit and manage claims for orthopedic and spine procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines
- Handle IDR (Independent Dispute Resolution) cases, including documentation, submission, and follow-up
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies; initiate appeals when needed
- Collaborate with providers and coders to ensure correct coding and maximize reimbursement
Job Requirements
- Billing experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting
- Proven knowledge of IDR protocols and dispute resolution processes
- Familiarity with spine-related coding, billing, and payer guidelines
