About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join a highly respected early childhood center located in Staten Island, NY. In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with a team of educators and therapists to support the development of preschool-aged children (ages 3–4), with an emphasis on play-based, functional, and therapeutic interventions. The base pay for this position is $50 to $55 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to preschool-aged students (3–4 years old) in a nurturing, early childhood education setting
- Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, and parents to support holistic student development
- Document treatment progress and maintain up-to-date clinical records in compliance with state and school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary case conferences
- Provide consultation and education to staff and families
- Support classroom modifications and sensory strategies to enhance participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Job Requirements
- Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
