Vice President, FP&A

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading global financial services firm in New York City, is seeking a Vice President to join their Front Office FP&A team. This individual will serve as the finance lead for the firm’s Asset Management division, overseeing full P&L ownership, forecasting, and strategic performance reporting across a range of investment products. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, COO teams, and cross-functional partners across corporate and fund finance.

The annual base salary range is $150,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial planning and analysis for the Asset Management business, including P&L management, forecasting, and variance reporting
  • Develop and deliver performance reports and executive-level presentations highlighting financial trends, business performance, and key drivers
  • Analyze management and performance fees, fund-level expenses, and AUM-related revenue metrics to provide actionable insights
  • Collaborate with accounting, product control, and business operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting and reconciliations
  • Lead budgeting and reforecasting efforts, aligning divisional projections with overall corporate objectives
  • Enhance existing reporting tools and processes to increase analytical depth and operational efficiency
  • Support senior management with ad hoc financial modeling, strategic analysis, and special projects related to business growth and profitability

 

Job Requirements

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, or accounting, preferably within asset management or financial services
  • Deep understanding of fund structures (e.g., LP, GP, Master-Feeder, ETF, or Fund of Funds) and AUM-based revenue models
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional partners
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple business stakeholders
