About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global financial services technology provider based in New York City, is seeking a Vice President-level IAM Senior Engineer to join its corporate technology division. This position offers a highly technical and visible opportunity for an experienced identity and access management professional to provide leadership in access governance, shape best practices for IAM controls, and deliver robust automation and user lifecycle management throughout the organization.
The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $170,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s identity and access management (IAM) governance program, serving as a hands-on expert managing primary platforms such as Saviynt and Okta
- Develop and maintain automations for access provisioning and governance using Python, SQL, and API integrations
- Oversee the creation, assignment, and review of department and role-based entitlements, ensuring strong controls for user and non-human accounts
- Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows and automations to support efficient user lifecycle management
- Deploy and configure single sign-on (SSO) applications and policies, utilizing tools such as Terraform and Okta for streamlined access and secure authentication
- Lead recertification processes, review stale or over-privileged access, and drive continuous IAM program improvements across cloud environments and third-party applications
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot access and permission issues, ensuring a secure and user-friendly experience for all stakeholders
- Provide clear, concise internal documentation and guidance to drive organization-wide best practices
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 10 years of experience in identity and access management roles within technology or information security environments
- Comprehensive knowledge of IAM and governance platforms, with hands-on experience in tools such as Saviynt, SailPoint, Ping, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and API development for workflow automation
- Track record of managing role-based entitlements, privileged identity management, and access certification processes
- Experience deploying and supporting SAML and OAuth SSO solutions within Okta, including advanced features like auto-provisioning
- Industry certifications in cloud platforms or identity and access management are preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory and security due diligence best practices in highly regulated environments
