About the Opportunity
Are you a primary care physician or clinician ready to step into a leadership role with a mission-driven community health network? Our client, a well-established federally qualified health center serving communities across New York City, is seeking a Medical Director to lead clinical affairs at one of their health centers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician who’s been in a strong staff-level role for several years and is ready to grow into leadership, reporting directly to the Chief of Primary Care while making a real impact on underserved communities.
The annual base salary range is $195,000 to $223,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead clinical affairs and oversee quality of care at your assigned health center
- Supervise and support other clinicians at the center
- Partner closely with the Center Director to manage day-to-day medical operations
- Provide direct patient care alongside your leadership responsibilities
- Help build a strong, collaborative clinical culture within the center
- Champion care for medically underserved and diverse patient populations, including LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS communities
Job Requirements
- Valid NYS medical license
- At least 1 year of post-graduate/residency experience in a Primary Care setting
- AAHIVS certification a strong plus
- Experience in reproductive health, IUD/Nexplanon insertion, and transgender care preferred
- Comfort managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension across pediatric and adult populations
- A genuine passion for community-based, culturally competent healthcare
