Speech Language Pathologist

Location: New York, NY

Salary: Commensurate with experience

A non-profit organization is seeking a part-time time Speech Language Pathologist to join their team. The SLP will work alongside OTs, PTs and other SLP staff members in a collaborative team setting. The SLP will evaluate and treat adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities within a program that has an adult day habilitation, intermediate care facilities, and an outpatient clinic. We are seeking someone who is dedicated, compassionate and excited to work with this population at a leading organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient’s medical history
  • Formulate patient’s goals and develop a treatment plan
  • Assist patients in retaining their highest functional level
  • Maintain quality standards of patient care
  • Keep detailed progress notes while continually assessing patient progress
  • Collaborate and coordinate patients care plans with patient/family and other care providers
  • Perform therapeutic procedures for clients as outlined in patient’s plan of care

Job Requirements:

  • NYS SLP License & ASHA CCC’s
  • 1+ year of work experience
  • Experience with the OPWDD population preferred but not required – training will be provided as needed
