About the Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in capital markets and investment banking, is seeking a skilled FP&A Specialist (Consultant) to support their Shared Services FP&A team. This is an exciting consulting opportunity to contribute to financial planning and analysis initiatives that support both front and back office functions.
The base pay for this position is $60 to $75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Global Heads of Shared Services departments in understanding and managing their costs, identifying areas for efficiency and potential savings
- Monitor approved headcount and compensation to ensure alignment with budget and policy
- Lead the budgeting and planning process for Shared Services, with a focus on controllable SG&A costs
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analyses, ensuring that key risks and business drivers are clearly communicated
- Drive the allocation of Shared Services costs to front-office businesses via PCMCS (Oracle-based proprietary system)
- Partner with Finance leadership to enhance and document allocation methodologies across Shared Services functions, ensuring consistency, transparency, and long-term scalability
- Help ensure that PCMCS is aligned with newly agreed methodologies and is the appropriate tool for allocation purposes going forward
- Participate in cost management and savings initiatives sponsored by senior leadership
- Deliver concise, executive-ready presentations summarizing financial insights and recommendations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with exposure to asset management or capital markets
- Strong knowledge of AUM-based revenue, fund-level expense allocations, and performance fee structures
- Prior experience supporting executive leadership and managing high-impact financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools
- MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred but not required
- Ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
