About the Opportunity
Our client, a rapidly growing payments technology firm, is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join their New York City team. This is a high-impact role responsible for designing, building, and optimizing complex solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) within a collaborative, agile environment
The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Apex classes, triggers, integrations, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) for the Salesforce platform
- Write modular, scalable, and testable code that adheres to clean code principles and platform best practices
- Translate business requirements into secure, high-quality technical solutions within Salesforce governor limits
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and cross-functional teams to define technical approaches and work estimates
- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and support unit test coverage
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Salesforce functionality as needed
- Work with Git for source control (branching, merging, pull requests)
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline and release automation improvements (experience with GitLab CI a plus)
- Stay up to date on platform enhancements and proactively recommend technical improvements
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Salesforce development experience
- Advanced knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, integration patterns (REST/SOAP), and asynchronous processing
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security, and governor limits
- Hands-on experience with Git and modern Salesforce CLI tooling
- Ability to write high-quality unit tests for coverage and reliability
- Proven self-starter—works independently on complex projects and technical challenges
- Strong attention to clean, maintainable, well-documented code
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, AppFlow)
- Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD automation
- Experience developing agent-based AI solutions (autonomous workflows, orchestration, or AI-assisted patterns)
- Background in Agile, sprint-based teams
