About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing financial technology company, is seeking a Senior Salesforce Solutions Analyst to bridge business strategy and platform execution, owning everything from stakeholder discovery through solution design and hands-on validation. The role suits someone who thinks like an analyst, builds like a platform expert, and tests like a QA lead, rather than a pure developer. This is a full-time position based in the New York metro area.
The annual base salary range is $155,000 to $165,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the link between business stakeholders and the Salesforce platform, converting loosely defined requests into concrete requirements, acceptance criteria, and scoped work, while questioning proposed solutions that don’t address the real underlying need
- Evaluate incoming requests against a working knowledge of how the broader business operates, surfacing assumptions, exceptions, and ripple effects before any build begins
- Shape technical solutions across the data model, automation (validation rules, Flow, Apex), Lightning Web Components, and system integrations, weighing configuration against custom development and favoring the simplest durable approach
- Factor in security, sharing model, data integrity, platform limits, and long-term supportability when deciding where logic should live and how it should scale
- Own delivery outcomes end-to-end, bringing in engineering support for heavier technical lifts without losing accountability for the final result
- Translate requirements into test coverage that accounts for edge cases, unusual data states, permission nuances, and cross-system scenarios, then personally execute functional testing to confirm the build actually solves the business problem
- Diagnose issues by tracing root cause through requirements, configuration, data, or code rather than treating symptoms
- Incorporate AI-assisted tooling throughout the work — from analysis and design to configuration and testing, while independently verifying that AI output is correct before it ships, and looking for ongoing ways to make the delivery process faster and more reliable
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong analytical and requirements-gathering ability, with demonstrated success driving ambiguous stakeholder requests to well-defined outcomes with minimal oversight
- Solid understanding of the Salesforce platform, including data architecture, object relationships, security model, and automation capabilities
- Proficiency writing and interpreting SOQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of validation rules, Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integration/API patterns, with sound judgment on when each applies
- A rigorous testing mindset that anticipates edge cases and unintended consequences before they surface in production
- Comfortable communicating across both technical and business audiences
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development or analysis tools and enthusiasm for expanding that usage
