About the Opportunity
Our client, an established technology solutions provider supporting the financial services industry, is seeking a AVP/VP-level Product Manager to guide the development and enhancement of its data-driven financial technology platform. This individual will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to deliver scalable solutions, improve data-driven processes, and support strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical product management experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time position based in New York City.
The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of technical product initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business partners to establish product roadmaps, define priorities, and translate complex requirements into actionable solutions
- Oversee the development and optimization of data-driven applications, including data models, system integrations, and API functionality
- Gather and evaluate business and client requirements, develop user stories, and coordinate testing and implementation activities
- Partner with technical teams to support system performance, data accuracy, and the successful integration of new capabilities
- Manage cross-functional initiatives, balancing project timelines, resource availability, and evolving business priorities
- Communicate project progress, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, supporting effective collaboration and successful project execution
- Evaluate market developments, industry trends, and relevant regulatory considerations to inform product strategy
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance platform functionality, and improve operational efficiency
Job Requirements
- 6–10+ years of product management experience, preferably within a fast-paced, agile technology environment
- Proven experience leading technical teams, managing complex initiatives, and delivering technology-driven products
- Strong technical background with an understanding of software architecture, API development, and system integrations
- Experience with data analysis, including proficiency in SQL and working with complex data structures
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
- Experience within financial services, fintech, or related technology environments is preferred
- Background in data engineering, quantitative analysis, or related technical disciplines is a plus
