About the Opportunity
Our client, a global investment banking advisory firm, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Technology to join their New York City team on a hybrid schedule. This hands-on leadership role oversees Workday Financials initiatives, manages cross-functional projects, and drives continuous improvement across platform modules and integrations. The position interfaces with multiple business verticals and offers exposure to strategic digital transformation for the firm’s finance and operations teams.
The annual base salary range is $110,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead major Workday Financials projects through all phases, ensuring alignment with business goals and successful platform adoption
- Manage and execute system upgrades, enhancements, and new module deployments for the Workday platform
- Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Financials updates in collaboration with business users
- Drive integration initiatives between Workday and other enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and operational continuity
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate requirements into effective Workday solutions
- Support rollout, training, and user adoption for Workday enhancements across the organization
- Monitor and troubleshoot user experience issues, ensure platform performance, and respond to change requests
- Contribute to strategic program management, reporting rationalization, and process improvement related to Workday utilization
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise applications, including at least 3 years in Workday administration or consulting
- In-depth technical expertise with Workday Financials, integrations, web services, and APIs
- Experience in implementation, consulting, or business solution management for Workday systems
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools and platforms (e.g., Azure, Data Visualization, Analytics)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at working with stakeholders at all levels
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in complex technical environments
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
