About the Opportunity
Our client, one of the fastest-growing Oncology biotech companies in the country, is looking for an Associate Director of External Pharmacy Operations to join their team remotely. This position partners closely with internal teams, external pharmacy partners, and hub service providers to ensure the seamless coordination, distribution, and delivery of specialty products to patients. The role also leads quality investigations and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives related to pharmacy operations.
The annual base salary range is $160,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to enhance pharmacy network coverage, improve the customer experience, and optimize operational efficiency and costs
- Develop and oversee logistics strategies for the preparation, coordination, and delivery of products to designated pharmacy locations, ensuring timely and compliant distribution
- Engage directly with healthcare providers (HCPs), patients, and other stakeholders to review pharmacy services, support network development, and drive operational excellence
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for pharmacy service issues, ensuring prompt resolution of product delivery and service-related concerns
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external specialty pharmacy partners to support efficient product distribution and high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with hub service providers, third-party vendors, couriers, and internal cross-functional teams to coordinate pharmacy operations and maintain service continuity
- Investigate and resolve operational challenges, service disruptions, and customer concerns while implementing process improvements to enhance performance and compliance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- PharmD required
- At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience as a pharmacist is required
- Candidates must be located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone
