About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our client’s outpatient clinic in Manhattan, NY. As an LCSW, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to a diverse patient population. Your role will involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Your fluency in English and a second language (such as Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian) will be essential for effectively communicating with patients who have limited English proficiency.
The annual base salary range is $75,000 to $85,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs, goals, and cultural considerations
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), in individual, couple, family, and group settings
- Offer crisis intervention services and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients in acute distress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory guidelines
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families, empowering them with knowledge and skills to manage their mental health conditions effectively
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients
- Conduct regular outcome assessments to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health, incorporating this knowledge into clinical practice
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Active New York State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Bilingual fluency in English and a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Russian) is required
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient mental health setting
- Strong knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, and SFBT
