About the Opportunity
Our client, a prominent global law firm, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in New York City on a hybrid schedule. This role partners with stakeholders across business and technology functions to analyze, document, and improve business processes, supporting high-impact projects and continuous operational advancement within the organization.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, and map business processes, workflows, rules, and data definitions based on organizational needs
- Lead or actively contribute to requirements gathering and cross-functional process review sessions
- Conduct “as is” and “to be” business process analysis, identifying gaps and recommending improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable technical requirements
- Serve as a liaison between technology and business teams throughout the lifecycle of projects, including requirements, testing, and implementation
- Develop subject matter knowledge in assigned business areas and maintain ongoing project documentation
- Support and guide the creation and execution of User Acceptance Test plans, ensuring clear communication between business and technology groups
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices across the firm
- Develop and deliver regular task and project updates to management and business partners
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role
- Certification in Business Analysis is a plus
- Demonstrated skill in documenting business processes, workflows, data maps, and requirements
- Proven track record working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving, and organizational skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, customer service, change management, communication, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with process mapping and diagramming tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio) preferred
- Experience documenting requirements in both traditional and Agile formats
