About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant to join their dynamic healthcare team located on Long Island, New York. As a Cardiology NP/PA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality cardiology care to their patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology, exceptional clinical skills, and a patient-centered approach to practice.
The annual base salary range is $140,000 to $190,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to accurately diagnose and develop treatment plans for cardiology conditions
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnostic procedures, treatment management, and follow-up
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests and imaging results, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations, to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, prescribe medications, and make referrals to specialists
- Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner studies from an accredited program
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a NP or PA in cardiology
- Fluency in Spanish highly preferred
