About the Opportunity
Our client, a mission-driven healthcare and social services organization, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance & Operations Manager to support their growing organization in Suffolk County, NY. This role will help establish and maintain strong compliance frameworks. The position partners closely with senior leadership and plays a hands-on role in building scalable systems and processes.
The annual base salary range is $88,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain organizational compliance policies and internal controls
- Conduct regular internal reviews, audits, and monitoring activities to identify risk and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Respond to and investigate compliance concerns, documenting findings and recommended actions
- Prepare compliance-related reports and materials for leadership and external entities
- Coordinate corrective action plans and follow-up activities resulting from audits or monitoring
- Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance practices are consistently applied
- Support and administer core HR programs, including benefits, leave administration, performance management, and employee relations
- Lead onboarding, offboarding, and orientation processes to ensure compliance and consistency
- Assist leadership with ad hoc operational needs and process improvement efforts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Compliance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, HR operations, or a related function
- Prior experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and compliance regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Professional certifications (e.g., CHC, SHRM-CP or similar) are highly desirable
