About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading medical center in Westchester County that is in search of an overnight Crisis Clinician to join their team. This position manages and responds to calls for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which involves callers of all ages who may be experiencing emotional distress and mental health crisis.
The annual base salary range is $60,000 to $68,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Answer calls on assigned incoming lines in accordance with the organization’s training and scope
- Be available to consult with other Crisis Counselors on shift
- Assess for risk, provide crisis intervention, complete safety plans, and make appropriate referrals to resources in the community
- Place outgoing and follow-up calls to callers, third parties, and community resources when needed
- Document calls in an accurate and timely manner in web-based software
- Assist with placing rescue calls as needed for callers requiring emergency assistance
- Be equipped to apply crisis intervention tools and techniques and make appropriate connections to community resources
- Preform additional responsibilities as they develop and are assigned
- Participate in required trainings, supervision, and meetings
Job Requirements
- Masters in a Mental Health/Human service field, LMSW/LCSW/LMHC
- 11:30pm-7:30am shift required
- Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem positions available
- Shifts may vary; including evenings and weekends
- Active listener that is patient, non-judgmental, collaborative with strong interpersonal and empathy skills
- Possesses strong documentation skills that can collect all necessary data
- Good working knowledge of resources in the community
