About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading healthcare organization in New York City that is at the forefront of digital health transformation. They are actively seeking an experienced Director of Health Information Management (HIM) in Brooklyn to lead and oversee the organization’s electronic health records (EHR) system, with a focus on eClinicalWorks (eCW). This role is essential in ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and the seamless integration of health information systems across the organization.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee EHR management and optimization, with expertise in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal health information regulations
- Lead EHR implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts
- Manage health data integrity, security, and workflow optimization
- Develop and enforce policies for medical records management and patient privacy
- Collaborate with IT, clinical, and administrative teams to improve system functionality
- Provide training and support to staff on EHR best practices and compliance
- Monitor and analyze health data trends to support clinical and operational decision-making
- Serve as a liaison with vendors and manage contracts related to health information technology
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Extensive experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) required
- Leadership experience in health information management or EHR administration
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and workflow improvement
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work with cross-functional teams
