About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading provider of outpatient surgical services, committed to delivering high-quality care across multiple locations. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations of three ambulatory surgery centers in Absury Park, New Jersey. This leadership role is key to ensuring smooth, efficient, and patient-centered services across all sites.
The annual base salary range is $98,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of three ambulatory surgery centers, ensuring optimal performance and high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial performance
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams to maintain a seamless flow of surgical procedures and patient services
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting body regulations, including CMS and Joint Commission standards
- Monitor and manage budgets, financial reports, and key performance indicators to meet organizational goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop management and staff to ensure a cohesive and motivated team across all locations
- Drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes, safety, and overall experience within the centers
- Identify opportunities for growth, process improvement, and expansion of services
- Serve as the liaison between the ASCs and the corporate leadership team, communicating operational updates, challenges, and successes
- Manage vendor relationships, supply chain operations, and contract negotiations to maintain cost-effective services
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years of operational leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ambulatory surgery or outpatient services
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites or facilities successfully
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices for ambulatory surgery centers
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex operational challenges
