About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading financial services firm based in Manhattan, is seeking a skilled Finance Paralegal to support its in-house Legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of corporate paralegal experience within a financial services or Am Law 100 environment, with a strong background in contract management, redlining, and corporate documentation.
This individual will assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing legal documents, manage the full contract lifecycle, and maintain accurate records of corporate agreements. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and business leaders across the firm in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Please note, financial services experience is required.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply edits to corporate documents as requested by attorneys
- Execute full contract management lifecycle best practices, including the method of tracking and collecting countersigned versions of all corporate contracts, and tracking status of redline negotiations
- Assist in preparing basic legal documents, such as NDAs, simple contract mods, and correspondences
- Submit, maintain and monitor expense reports and vendor payments
- Prepare and distribute documentation in advance of meetings involving the Legal department as appropriate
- Assist attorneys in identifying contract compliance items or other matters to be communicated to the company’s various departments and stakeholders
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of Corporate Paralegal experience in a fast-paced, financial services environment (in house or AM Law 100)
- Experience with NDAs and redlining is required
- Experience handling large financial transactions is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
