About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected New York City-based law firm, is seeking a dependable and proactive Immigration Paralegal to support attorneys in a busy and fast-moving immigration practice. This key position plays an essential role in preparing filings, managing client communications, and ensuring the smooth progression of immigration matters from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment. As a core member of the legal team, you will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of filings, maintain meticulous case records, and contribute to delivering outstanding legal service. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with attorneys on meaningful immigration matters and gain valuable hands-on legal experience.
The annual base salary range is $80,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare immigration forms, petitions, and supporting evidence
- Conduct legal and factual research related to immigration laws and regulations
- Maintain and organize case files and ensure timely filings
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and attorneys regarding case status
- Monitor deadlines and case progress through case management systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred
- 2+ years of immigration law experience
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
