About the Opportunity
Our client is a reputable oncology practice with more than 20 locations regionally, dedicated to providing cutting-edge cancer care and innovative treatments. They are looking to hire an Infusion Registered Nurse for their New Jersey location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community-based care in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
The base pay for this position is $40 to $50 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor IV medications, chemotherapy, and other infusion therapies according to established protocols and guidelines
- Assess and evaluate patients before, during, and after infusion treatments, monitoring for adverse reactions and providing immediate intervention as needed
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on the administration of medications, potential side effects, and self-care measures to enhance treatment outcomes
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and interventions in electronic health records
- Participate in the coordination of patient appointments, treatment schedules, and follow-up care
- Monitor and maintain infusion equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to prepare and verify medication orders
- Stay current on advances in oncology and infusion therapy through ongoing education and professional development
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and safety
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NJ
- Minimum of 2-3 years of infusion experience
