About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Long Island client’s nursing team in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting. The Nurse Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, overseeing daily operations, and promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in ambulatory surgical services.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized clinical leadership in orthopedic and total joint procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices and evidence-based care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the ASC, including patient flow, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and licensing guidelines
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
- Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance
- Collaborate with administrative and finance teams to manage the nursing budget effectively
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient resource utilization
- Advocate for patient needs and rights, ensuring a patient-centered approach in all aspects of care delivery
- Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among interdisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and administrative staff
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management, promoting a positive and transparent work environment
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a proven track record of leadership in an ambulatory surgery setting
- Experience in orthopedics/total joint procedures is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
