About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with previous experience or an interest in dermatology to join their dynamic team in New York City. The successful candidate will collaborate with dermatologists and contribute to the provision of comprehensive dermatological care, including clinical evaluations, treatments, and patient education.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $165,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dermatological assessments to diagnose a variety of skin conditions, disorders, and diseases
- Utilize diagnostic tools and tests, such as biopsies, to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic interventions
- Perform minor dermatological procedures, such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and laser treatments, as appropriate
- Educate patients on proper skincare, preventive measures, and lifestyle choices to promote skin health
- Provide clear and comprehensive information regarding treatment plans, potential side effects, and post-treatment care
- Assist in providing cosmetic dermatology services, including Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and other aesthetic treatments
- Collaborate with patients to understand their aesthetic goals and contribute to a positive patient experience
- Work closely with dermatologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or completion of a Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Delaware State licensure as an NP or PA with prescriptive authority
- Previous in diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
