About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established outpatient center located on Long Island that mainly focuses on providing ambulatory gastroenterology services. They are currently seeking an NP/PA to join their team and conduct patient assessments. Their mission as a healthcare provider is to deliver the highest standard of care in a friendly, and professional environment.
The annual base salary range is $110,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough and detailed patient assessments, encompassing a comprehensive review of medical history
- Conduct a meticulous physical examination and order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to formulate an understanding of the patient’s health status
- Offer patient education initiatives aimed at promoting health, preventing diseases, and effectively managing chronic conditions
- Provide patients with detailed information on lifestyle modifications, treatment options, medication adherence, and self-care strategies to empower them to take an active role in their healthcare journey
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions following established protocols and under the supervision of physicians
- Utilize clinical judgment and evidence-based practice guidelines to determine appropriate treatment modalities, dosages, and durations tailored to each patient’s specific needs and medical conditions
Requirements:
- Knowledge and/or interest in Gastroenterology
- Current and valid NP/PA License
