About the Opportunity
We are partnered with an outpatient Oncology practice in the New York Metropolitan area. They are seeking a Registered Nurse who is experienced or interested in Oncology to join their team!
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose patients in a practice setting
- Identify outcomes, implement treatment and coordinate care
- Perform and assist with oncology and radiation-related treatments, therapies, and procedures
- Identify expected outcomes for patients’ individualized treatment plan
- Implement identified treatment plan and coordinate all aspects of care delivery
- Provide education and counseling to patient and family members regarding identified health needs, health care activities, immunization requirements, medication effects and contraindications
- Meet specific clinical needs of oncology and radiation patients by using knowledge and expertise
- Recognize medication mid solution incompatibilities and factors affecting stability
- Perform facility acuity coding by selecting the appropriate level of service for a diverse patient population
- Ensure that all pertinent clinical information is documented in the patient’s medical record and supports the level of service selected
Job Requirements
- BSN preferred
- Must have current NY RN Licensure
- Previous experience or exposure to oncology highly preferred, or must have Med-Surg or IV nursing experience
