About the Opportunity
Our client, a prestigious financial services firm based in Manhattan, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits professional to join their high-impact HR team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting senior business leaders in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, delivering strategic and hands-on payroll and benefits solutions that drive organizational effectiveness and compliance.
The Payroll and Benefits specialist will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, fostering strong partnerships across the organization, ensuring accurate and timely US and global payroll processing, and overseeing comprehensive benefits administration. Responsibilities include administering employee enrollments and changes, managing disability and retirement claims, reconciling invoices, and monitoring benefits costs and trends. The role will ensure that compensation, benefits, and wellness programs comply with all applicable US federal and state regulations and will also provide guidance on employee relations matters. The Payroll and Benefits professional will be a visible, collaborative team player who contributes to a culture of excellence, ensures alignment of HR practices with business priorities, and supports continuous improvement in HR operations.
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the processing of US and Global payroll is accurate and timely
- Performs benefits administration to include: employee enrollment/changes, short/long term disability claims, retirement distributions, reconciliation of invoices, & monitoring cost/trends
- Ensures that compensation, benefits, and wellness programs comply with all applicable US federal and state regulations
- Benefits administration, will be running benefits in-house
- Handle employee relations
- Assist with and oversee the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR policies and best practices and ensure compliance in different locations
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Benefits and Benefits
- Strong Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Legal industry experience preferred
