About the Opportunity
Our client, a prestigious financial services firm based in Manhattan, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced People Operations Specialist to join its HR team. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day HR operations within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. The People Operations Specialist will provide hands-on administrative support, manage high-volume scheduling, and coordinate onboarding and training activities.
The position also involves overseeing pre-employment processes, including background checks and employment verification, as well as planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and internal events. Additionally, this individual will partner cross-functionally and provide project support to the Head of HR on various initiatives. Experience with HRIS implementation is highly valued.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform administrative support functions as necessary for the HR team
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and internal events (e.g., town halls, team-building activities, recognition programs), partnering cross-functionally to foster a positive workplace culture and enhance employee experience
- Provide ongoing support to the Head of HR on a range of special projects
- Assist with high volume scheduling, onboarding, and training meetings
- Support pre-employment screening processes, including conducting background checks and validating prior work history
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 6+ years of HR experience
- Experience implementing an HRIS is a huge plus
