About the Opportunity
Our client, a boutique law firm based in the Miami area, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support the firm’s attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. This role plays a key part in managing due diligence, coordinating closings, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of filings and documentation across multiple matters.
The ideal candidate has significant experience handling title, survey, and zoning reviews, entity formations, and UCC filings, with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously. You’ll serve as a vital liaison between attorneys, clients, and external parties to ensure seamless deal execution and compliance with filing requirements. This position follows a hybrid schedule, working on site 3-4 days per week based on the needs of the team.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of filings, closings, and document review
- Review title commitments, surveys, and zoning reports; prepare related objection letters
- Handle document retrievals (status certificates, charter documents, UCC searches)
- Manage entity filings and registrations, including formations, amendments, mergers, and dissolutions
- Draft resolutions, closing certificates, and maintain organized data rooms and closing sets
- Coordinate document distribution and manage closing documentation flow
- Liaise with internal departments, outside counsel, and clients to ensure timely deal execution
- Monitor compliance requirements and filing deadlines across multiple jurisdictions
- Track transaction progress and maintain detailed checklists and closing calendars
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial real estate experience, including financing, title/survey/zoning review, and UCC filings/searches
- Experience in M&A a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail, initiative, and professionalism under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Cogency or similar systems preferred
