About the Opportunity
Our client, a popular fertility clinic in the San Francisco area, is seeking a dedicated Reproductive Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This full-time, direct hire role offers paid medical insurance and PTO. Prior clinical experience in reproductive medicine, OB/GYN, or women’s health is required. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, including comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will have a passion for reproductive health and a strong understanding of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including IVF, IUI, and egg preservation.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct initial consultations, follow-up visits, and fertility assessments for new and returning patients
- Obtain detailed medical histories and perform physical exams related to reproductive health
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, including ovulation induction, IVF protocols, and third-party reproduction options
- Educate patients on fertility treatment options, procedures, and potential outcomes
- Manage medication protocols and provide guidance on proper administration
- Perform and interpret ultrasound imaging for follicular monitoring, endometrial assessments, and early pregnancy evaluations
- Assist with intrauterine inseminations (IUI) and other in-office procedures
- Review and analyze diagnostic test results, including hormone panels, genetic testing, and semen analysis
- Collaborate with reproductive endocrinologists and embryologists to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide counseling on fertility preservation, egg freezing, donor egg/sperm options, and surrogacy
- Offer emotional support and guidance throughout the fertility treatment process
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and next steps
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, embryologists, and support staff to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
- Communicate effectively with referring providers and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in case conferences and contribute to clinical decision-making
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and clinic protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and follow-up care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
- Current and unrestricted CA state license as a PA or NP
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in reproductive medicine, OB/GYN, or women’s health
- Previous experience performing ultrasounds and managing fertility treatment protocols preferred
- Strong knowledge of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including IVF, IUI, and egg preservation
- Proficiency in ultrasound interpretation for follicular tracking and endometrial evaluation
- Excellent communication and counseling skills to support patients through emotionally complex processes
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
