About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading hospital looking for a Substance Use Counselor located in Yonkers, New York. They currently stand as one of New York’s most active emergency rooms and rehab inpatient centers. The Substance Use Counselor will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing counseling to participants of an intensive residential treatment program. This counselor will be responsible for integrating dual-recovery treatment working with both mental health and substance abuse in conjunction with the tasks of other team members.
The annual base salary range is $50,000 to $70,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Responsibilities:
- Work with both mental health and substance abuse in conjunction with the tasks of other team members
- Conduct assessments for substance abuse services
- Be responsible for integrating dual-recovery treatment
Requirements:
- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State
- Fluency in English and Spanish
