About the Opportunity
Our client, a prominent, multi-asset alternative investment manager in New York City, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to help lead and deliver front and middle office technology integration within its private credit business. This opportunity offers a blend of hands-on platform delivery, deep business analysis, and senior stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, modern investment environment.
The annual base salary range is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical analysis, business requirements gathering, and successful delivery of complex platform integrations spanning portfolio management, risk, accounting, and investment pipeline systems
- Serve as the principal business analyst on major system implementations, translating investment and operations workflows into scalable solutions
- Work cross-functionally with portfolio management, trading, operations, finance, and compliance to align technology with business needs
- Drive and execute multiple concurrent initiatives, including SaaS application rollouts, workflow automation, and enhancements to reporting capabilities
- Coordinate delivery between internal technology teams and external vendors, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
- Write and validate complex SQL queries to support reporting, reconciliation, and ad hoc business intelligence requests
- Create and deliver dashboards and analytics for business users in Power BI; utilize existing data warehouse structures and integrate vendor-provided tools
- Implement and support REST API connections for integrating third-party applications, ensuring secure and accurate data flows
- Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution for platform issues, participating in testing, validation, and production support as needed
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of requirements, workflows, and system behavior across all projects
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical business analysis, platform integration, or technology delivery at a private credit or alternative asset management firm
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience analyzing complex financial datasets
- Demonstrated experience integrating enterprise applications and platforms (REST APIs required)
- Experience working with or implementing BlackRock Aladdin (strong preference); Allvue experience considered a plus
- Proficiency with reporting/dashboard tools such as Power BI (Tableau experience a plus)
- In-depth knowledge of the private credit investment lifecycle and buy-side operational workflows
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions and drive execution
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct work with senior business partners
