About the Opportunity
A well-known urgent care network in NYC is currently seeking a well-qualified provider to join their growing team! Responsibilities include caring for, diagnosing, and managing patients in an urgent care setting. The FNP will collaborate with the team in diagnosing and creating plans for each patient. They will also provide medical services that are directly related to his/her specialty in agreement with established protocols, standing orders, policies, and procedures under the supervision of a physician.
The base pay for this position is $70 to $85 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Take and record or review and interpret medical and social history
- Perform physical examinations
- Obtain material for appropriate laboratory analysis
- Make diagnosis and prescribed therapeutic regimens
- Provide guidance to Medical Assistant
- Screen walk-in patients to assess need for immediate care or referral to other network health providers and personnel. This includes assessment, treatment and consultation with physicians as indicated
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license required
- Experience in an urgent care setting highly preferred
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Consultation with physicians as indicated and or needed
- Must have a friendly and professional skills
- Excellent patient/customer skills
