About the Opportunity
Our client, a global fintech leader in New York City, is seeking a Vice President, Information Security Engineer to join their growing security team. This highly visible role will establish and manage cloud security programs, build secure architecture, drive automation, and partner with DevOps, Security Engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class security practices across multiple cloud environments.
The annual base salary range is $160,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud security programs across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including continuous monitoring and vulnerability resolution
- Remediate security misconfigurations and build automated alerting and monitoring capabilities for cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish technology standards, adopt new best practices, and build secure automation solutions
- Develop and enforce application security processes, workflows, and code security review automation
- Support SOC initiatives by enhancing detection and alerting for security incidents
- Develop workflows to enhance SaaS security programs and contribute to cloud infrastructure enhancements
- Contribute to policy and standards development in partnership with Risk and Governance teams
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver complex security projects and initiatives
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6–10 years of hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS preferred); experience implementing secure cloud infrastructure
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar industry certification strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of cloud security trends, threats, and emerging technologies
- Experience with infrastructure as code, systems engineering, and scripting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate and influence across teams
- Results-driven, proactive, and able to take projects from inception through execution
