About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP, AGNP, or FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dynamic healthcare team in Queens, NY. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women across the lifespan. As a Women’s Health NP or PA, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive women’s health services, emphasizing preventive care, reproductive health, and patient education.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments, examinations, and screenings for women across the lifespan, including gynecological and obstetric care
- Diagnose and treat a variety of women’s health conditions, providing evidence-based care and developing individualized treatment plans
- Provide family planning counseling, contraceptive management, and preconception care
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as Pap smears, mammograms, and pelvic ultrasounds
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to provide prenatal care, monitor pregnancies, and support women during labor and delivery
- Offer postpartum care and address the physical and emotional well-being of mothers
- Educate patients on women’s health issues, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Conduct community outreach and education programs to promote women’s health and wellness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Experience in women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, culturally sensitive care
