About the Opportunity:
As a Dental Assistant, this role provides critical support to the clinical team by delivering high-level patient care and ensuring satisfaction in a team-based environment. The position involves handling various clinical duties for dental office operations and offers opportunities for learning and growth. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $19.25 to $22.75 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
- Serve as a key communicator within the practice, providing information and support to patients and colleagues.
- Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area and facilitating dentist's access.
- Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing on instruments and in patients' mouths.
- Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies.
- Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations.
- Help manage dental and medical emergencies through maintenance of CPR certification and emergency supplies.
- Educate patients with oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Protect patient and employee safety by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Six (6) hour x-ray training certification.
- CPR card.
- Nitrous oxide certification; Coronal polishing certification preferred.
