About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time contract position in the Med Surg unit. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with common post-surgical diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity following bariatric surgery. This role includes administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and using specialty equipment like IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. The estimated base pay for these positions are $48.34 to $57.13 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and manage IV therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report changes in patients' conditions.
- Stay informed on best practices in medical-surgical nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Active NY RN license with NURSYS report verification.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Required: Travel experience.
- Experience with EPIC EMR systems.
