About the Opportunity:
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in the Med Surg department provide essential outpatient services. Responsibilities include managing electronic medical records (EMR) and performing phlebotomy tasks in a dynamic setting. This is a full-time contract position.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $31.90 to $37.70 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct specific assessments and create care plans.
- Provide patient education and support.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Monitor and document patient progress using electronic medical records.
- Stay informed on current best practices in infection control, performance improvements, and principles of delegation.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program required.
- Current licensure and registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State required.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Strong skills in IM & SQ, and phlebotomy required.
