About the Opportunity:
The Dental Hygienist provides essential oral health care and patient satisfaction in a team-based setting, focusing on a variety of clinical duties required for dental office operations. This part-time contract position requires working collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and other dental office staff to deliver high-quality care and exceptional customer service.
The estimated base pay for these positions are $46.75 to $55.25 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment as required.
- Provide oral hygiene treatment and education in accordance with state guidelines.
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain, and plaque from gums.
- Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Record and review patient medical histories.
- Uphold office policies, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain inventory as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.
- Hold a current state-issued Dental Hygiene license.
- CPR certification.
- One year of hands-on experience as a hygienist.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment preferred.
